Captain's Dinner

On November 12th we held our annual Captain's Dinner in the Clubhouse and our members who attended were served up an exceptional evening of food courtesy of Reece Eden and his team.

The menu for the evening was nothing short of exceptional, the roast chicken supreme roasted to juicy perfection and served with buttery fondant potatoes, roast carrots, charred broccoli, tangy red cabbage drizzled with shallot gravy, and the melt-in-the-mouth skate cooked in paper and served with caper butter, cabbage, leeks, and chunky chips going down a treat.

I'm still thinking about the créme brûleé and apple and blackberry crumble now...

On top of what was already a substantial menu our Captain, Alistair Low provided a delicious cheese board to finish the meal off in style.

After everyone was suitably fed the lights were dimmed and the party started. The Dave Starbuck roadshow getting everyone up and dancing, we've heard reports of some tired feet the following day, or perhaps 'tiger feet' is a better description thanks to the can't help but get up and dance glam rock tunes. Likely there were a few post-party sore heads too...

It's always a pleasure to see the Clubhouse buzzing with members mingling and enjoying the excellent hospitality and food. So our heartfelt Thanks to each of you that took a few hours out to join us, we really hope you enjoyed it as much as we all enjoyed hosting it.

Same time next year folks, Tim
